Authorities identify three killed in Sawgrass Expressway crash

Authorities on Thursday identified the three people who died when their Mercedes-Benz went out of control along the Sawgrass Expressway.

Driver Paul Morgan, 45, of Parkland, lost control of the car around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday in the southbound lanes of the highway.

The car went into the grass median, then struck a concrete barrier wall on the bridge over Riverside Drive in Parkland, authorities said.

One of the passengers in the car was his brother, 51-year-old Martin Morgan, who was visiting from London, according to Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Mark Wysocky. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, Wysocky said.
