Baseball cap-wearing Coral Springs bank robber arrested, FBI says

The man authorities say robbed two Coral Springs banks in two days while wearing a University of Miami baseball cap as a disguise is in federal custody.

The FBI arrested Daniel Michael, 41, for his alleged involvement in bank robberies Oct. 1 and Oct. 2.

According to the FBI, Michael held up the BBT branch at 4695 N. University Drive at about 1:20 p.m. Thursday and took an undisclosed amount of money. Around 7 p.m. the next night, he hit up the TD Bank at 4697 N. State Road 7.

No one was injured in either incident.

Michael is in federal custody at the Broward County Main Jail and will appear in Fort Lauderdale Federal Court on Wednesday.
