Parkland installs electric car charging station near library

After a 30-minute pit stop at the city-owned library to charge, your electric car can keep you moving for another few hundred miles.

The city set up an electric charging station Friday next to City Hall. The charger is free to anyone regardless of residence. The $5,000 machine resembles an old-fashioned gas pump but has hoses for two cars.

Boasts Mayor Michael Udine: “It’s another way Parkland is leading the way on the environment.”
