The 31,400-square-foot store will open sometime in November at the Atlantic Crossings shopping center at North University Drive and West Atlantic Boulevard. It will take the space of what used to be an OfficeMax.

Stein Mart did not give a specific date for the opening. The Jacksonville-based retailer is expanding nationwide, with eight other stores projected to open this fall and a dozen more in 2016.

Nationwide, Stein Mart has 269 stores, including locations in Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Boca Raton, Pompano Beach, Plantation, Cooper City and Aventura, according to the company’s website.

“We have all intentions of continuing to add more stores to this market,” Jay Stein, Stein Mart’s chief executive, said in a statement.

Stein Mart stocks men and women’s apparel, handbags, shoes, bedding, dinnerware and home décor.

The retailer says it reached 6.1 percent sales growth during the first half of 2015 and 4 percent comparable-store sales growth.
